Cost:  $75.00 per person

Today we will explore part on the Annapolis Valley which is off the beaten track. We will start the day with some fresh coffee at the Just Us Coffee Factory in Grand Pre. Just Us Coffee is know for its policy of fair exchange. This means that their coffee is picked by people that get fair wage for their work. This will give you time to sample and explore what they have to offer.

From Just Us Coffee we will travel along the old road through Wolfville to Port Williams and the home of Fox Hill Cheese Factory. This sixth-generation family farm is nestled in the beautiful Annapolis Valley beside the tides of the Minas Basin. They specialize in Stirred Cheddar, plain and herbed Gouda, plain and herbed Harvarti, fresh Quark, fresh curds, Feta, and selected imported cheeses. You may ask what is Quark? Quark (or Quarq) is a fresh unripened, smooth textured cheese that is prepared in a fashion similar to cream cheese.

Our travels continue through the valley floor to Between the Bushes for Lunch break. The restaurant is sitting in the middle of a high bush blue berry field. Lunch is on your own. They have a wide selection to meet your needs or tastes.

The day would not be complete without a sampling of local wine. In the Annapolis Valley there are five different wineries. We are going to visit one of the lesser known wineries. The Gaspereau Winery located in Gaspereau is in the heart of farming country. This winery, which is now owned by Jost, produces products on their own and provides product to be blended with Jost’s Winery. We have included in the price a sampling of wines and the famous Ice Wine.

After our tasting we will travel to Hennigar’s Farm Market for your opportunity to by local produce and of course the giant Ice cream. From Hennigar’s we will travel back home.

Annapolis Valley Wine Tour      5 Hours          Email for Bookings

COST:  $75.00 per person

The Annapolis Valley is known for the farmland, and we believe that the Annapolis Valley has some of the best growing areas in Canada. Today we will take a trip to heart of this farmland. At its widest point between North and South Mountains near Grand Pre are four wineries, today we will visit two of these wineries on this tour.

We will depart around 10:00 a.m. for Falmouth, which was the summer hunting and fishing grounds for our first nations people. In the 1600's the French Acadians started to move into this area and developed the fertile land that it is today. Not far from the shores of the Avon River you will find Sainte Famille Wines Ltd, is a small family owned vineyard and winery located on an original Acadian village site know as "La Paroisse Sainte-Famille De Pisiquit", settled about 1685. They are dedicated to the art of growing quality grapes and vinting them into elegant premium wines.

From here we are off for Lunch.

After Lunch we continue to Gaspereau Winery, this is one of the younger wineries in the Annapolis valley. Known as a boutique winery it is set on the slopes of Gaspereau Valley. This winery creates premium estate-grown and limited edition wines that reflect the care and passion of the owners.
