Marconi National Historic Site: Explore the site where Guglielmo Marconi initiates the age of global communications almost a century ago. In Dec. 1902, four giant wooden towers beamed out the world's first wireless message across the Atlantic. Discover the genius for this "Wizard of Wireless" and other scientists who pioneered the technology we take for granted today.
Miners' Museum: "A focus on the contribution of the coal miner and coal in the continuing advance of civilization." Many exhibits, including a coal mine: retired miners will guide you through the Ocean Deeps Colliery.
